Contrary to popular belief, I’m not tone deaf. Here’s proof!

I am not tone deaf!

You can take the test too!

6:45am: Dude was rockin’ this at the 7-11 this morn. He threw out a fist bump, all stoked, that I knew it. Gotta love pre dawn stoner/doom metal rock-out, yea!! That’s truly METAL!!!

This was not my quote.
Don’t get me wrong, I can relate on occasion.
Life does seem to have it’s moments sometimes…
It was written on a wall in a dilapidated area in west “O”.

—-The Ruminations

The Ruminations are instantaneous generators of the poke and ponder process of sound-shaping abstract experimental workout routines oblivious of prescribed thought or purpose.

Christina Stanley - violin/effects
Markus Hunt - double bass
Bob Marsh - cello/effects
Mark Pino - drums/percussion
Rent Romus - saxophones/toys

—-Daniel Blomquist

Daniel currently is working with tape manipulation; eroding away the production of music, field recordings and distant whispers; rendering them into a sprawling landscape of analog dust. The listener is taken into this sonic tableau and thoughtfully guided through its textures.

—-Hoopes/Glenn Duo

Jordan and Jason are often (and I do mean often) referred to as each other, often to each other’s faces. If that sounds confusing, try being Jason in a conversation where he’s asked if Jason is using his own drums at the gig. I saw a flyer once that said “Jason Hoopes - percussion” when there wasn’t even any percussion or Jordan on the gig. Don’t feel bad if you do it yourself, everyone does, even their close friends and bandmates. They were each the first person they each met their first day as students at Mills in 2006. They are both from the mythical Mythical State of Jefferson. They are best known as a rhythm section through Jack O’ The Clock, Fred Frith Trio, Host Family, Sarah Wilson, and a grip of ad hoc ensembles. What I mean is, they play a lot of music together. On this night they’ll play some more. Together. Forever.

Jordan Glenn - bass
Jason Hoopes - drums

Benjamin Ethan Tinker - electronics
